- homeowners adjusting to small condo after move from suburban family home; condo needed character, style update
design solutions
- removed ceiling-hung kitchen cabinetry that blocked sight lines
- removed unnecessary glass-walled, flex space at entry
- installed back-lit LED glass backsplash in kitchen for low maintenance; visually connects kitchen with new dining room cabinetry providing both functional/mood lighting
- removed master walk-in closet; utilized that floor space to enlarge bedroom
- reconfigured dining room wall to create new master bedroom closet and ensuite linen storage
- configured cabinetry on dining room side for wine storage, backlit lighting feature
- updated main bathroom with frameless glass enclosure; dual shower functions; oversized bench; new mirrored medicine cabinets
- relocated bathroom door for ease of access; expanded room to include laundry facilities
- anchored living space with feature grey-tiled column; has floating shelf extending below TV with bio-fuel firebox
- relocated dining room lighting source; designed coffered ceiling allowing power repositioning
- expanded entire space visually – frosted glass doors allow flow of light throughout
