- house purchased for location, size, suite for parents; homeowner didn’t like original design, finishings
- homeowners routinely entertain 75+ guests (pre-Covid) and needed indoor/outdoor spaces to connect
design solutions
- re-located front entry closet for open floor plan/flow; now bench with storage
- removed wok kitchen and walls; re-located rear door to enlarge kitchen
- accentuated soft touch kitchen cabinets with black glass tile, red accents
- converted front bedroom to home gym, rear bedroom to playroom; bathroom converted to 2nd floor laundry room
- re-configured in-law suite with larger kitchen
- utilized composite decking for new deck, fibreglass planters and railings – low maintenance; artificial turf for low maintenance, all season use for child
- upgraded lighting and heating throughout, high efficiency gas fireplace
