The Westcoast Modern project presented several challenges to the maison team. The 20-year-old house needed modern updates, a more functional kitchen layout, and an expanded pantry.

The new pantry that the maison team created has four primary functions within the space. One main function is the expanded food storage area with a refrigerator, freezer, and cabinetry. Secondly is a new laundry area with beautifully appointed storage space and a sink for caring for hand-washable items.

Discreetly tucked away in the cabinetry is an AV control centre, and the homeowner’s portable sauna occupies the dead corner which can easily be removed and converted to additional storage in the future.

An added feature of this pantry is its dedicated exterior entrance, allowing staff or catering professionals to enter directly into the food prep area.
